Just remember your electrician should be licensed in the state where he is carrying out the job. He should have public liability insurance as well as a current license. And remember the two must have most important safety devices for your home are smoke detectors that are wired into your electrical system, not a battery powered and a safety switch. Those two devices along with current property insurance will give you peace of mind.
